Crabgrass almost always has 3 stems of seeds while bahia usually has only 2 stems of seeds. Plus, the bahia seed are usually darker brown in color. You will want to triple rinse you sprayer with water and then the unit is ready to be sprayed.
MSM is highly effective but you have to use it with care if you are a do-it-yourselfer. I bought it to kill buttonweed which is very invasive. Second, if you are using on St. Augustine (I'm in Texas) know that this will likely turn the turf chlorotic for 4-5 weeks. If that is unacceptable to you don't use MSM!
